In this series, Mikee takes an optimistically comical look
into the winks and whistles of our everyday existence - what
she believes to be a crumb trail to happiness that is often obscured yet hidden in plain sight. It was in the faint whirs of
the humdrum of daily life where Silva slowly uncovered the
secret to her own piece of peaceful pleasure,a pilgrimage tha has proven to lead to the essence of joy in even its deepest
and most subatomic forms.

In a special weekend event, 773 collective hosted a curated collection of pieces from some of the country’s brightest designers and creative brands. Alongside this was Mikee’s first solo show at a physical space - featuring 7 unique acrylic works that drew inspiration from her previous series of paintings.

︎In her first series, Kinda Still Life, Silva’s collection of acrylic works playfully illustrates her musings on current life predicaments and the entire flock of feelings that usually accompany them. The vulnerability in her artistic process expresses a palpable combination of both the tenderness and the unrestrained emotional enquiry that may come with the acceptance of absolute existence in the present moment.
